Maternity Pictures

So I had some Maternity pictures taken 2 weeks ago and here are just a few I wanted to share...

I went to see the doctor yesterday and he said I'm Dialated to at least 1 cm and I'm 70% effaced! He said I'll probley still be pregnant through this week but he thinks she'll probley come some time early next week or any day next week! Yay!!!

Hard to Say Good-Bye...

There's been a few changes happen recently... We finally moved from our 1-Bedroom apartment in Orem. I knew that it would be hard to leave but I wasn't able to fully comprehend HOW hard. Granted, we had a long tiring move the weekend before, but when we left the house for the final and last time after cleaning it, I bawled like a baby when I locked the door, drove home and even about 30 min. after I arrived!!! It was our very own first place and we had spent the first 3 years of our marriage there! Most couples would have moved at least once in that time, but not us. We grew so much together in that small space, had family come and spend the night with them all sprawled in our living room wherever they could find room and just had a lot of fun times. I felt like all the memories we made there would disappear as another "page" turned in our lives. Now, I know they really won't, but it was still hard to think otherwise. I guess we will just have to do the same with where we're living now! :)



In other news, my pregnancy is going really well and I feel great! I am starting to see the doctor every 2 weeks now. This last time they had to check my hemoglobin and so they had to prick my finger! I was so nervous about how bad it would hurt because I have never had to have my finger pricked before (that I can remember...) Of course it didn't hurt but it got me a little damp! :0 Rebecca has really become quite active now with stronger, more noticible kicks and pushes. I think she is beginning to tell me it's getting a little small in there for her! David and I can't wait to see her and hold her. It's getting so close!



Well, I still have yet to find the cord to my camera so I can upload my pictures! I have gotten a lot bigger! But until then, I will try to update more often.

Just another update

So, David and I found out we'll be having a little girl!!! Yay for girls! I can't seem to stay away from the baby department. They have so many cute things for little girls that I can already tell I'm "in for it". I felt her first kick January 15th and it was such a cool experience. That was the same day I had a Dr.'s appt. and he told me that I wasn't 17 weeks like I thought, that actually I was already half way at 20 weeks! My new due date is June 9th now. I can't believe time has already gone by so fast. In the next week I will be 3 month's away from my due date... crazy! Well, I had the chance to go to California to help out my sister Rach. She just had a baby girl of her own Feb. 3rd. He name is Scarlett Anne but I call her my baby doll. That's exactly what she is... she is such a sweet and easy-going baby.

Work has been busy and picking up. I've been working a good share of over-time and now I think it's starting to wear me out a little. I'm gonna have to cut back and tell myself I can't do it all and that's okay! :) David's been working a ton. He is such a hard worker and I love that about him.

Well, we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day more low-key this year and it turned out to be so nice! I went and bought a few things to make dinner and we ate at home. I had bought some stuff to make the table a little festive and it turned out really nice. I don't think we'll forget what we did for Valentine's day in '09. We couldn't even remember where we went to eat last year... I thought that was pretty pathetic.

Well, so far everything else has been pretty smooth and I guess I can say so far, so good in the Reyes' life/ home....

Playing Catch-Up

Wow! A lot has happened since the last time I posted. First things first... David and I found out we are expecting a baby on June 27th!!! It was a surprise but we are sooo excited and can't wait for him or her. We will find out if it is a boy or girl in about a month. We are pretty sure it is a girl... but you really never know.

We spent Christmas in California with my family and had a really fun time. It was busy and jam packed but nothing out of the ordinary. I took David to Casper's on our way back from the Oakland Temple and he is now in love. After Christmas, Jeff (my cousin), was married in the Fresno, CA Temple and that was really neat to be able to be there and witness that. We loved seeing Alex "Scoot"... it was hilarious. I will post the video we took of him and some other funny ones of Denny rockin' out to a Christmas "jam" and playing "enie meanie minie moe"... hecka funny.

David's Birthday was on January 6th and so we celebrated a little at my in-laws house. She made dinner which is always yummy food. On Sunday, some family friends came over and celebrated with us. I made a little cake and it all was eaten. They loved the frosting!

Now that all the holidays are over as well as a few birthdays, I am now focusing on my sister Rachel's baby shower. This last Saturday, I went to Pebbles in my pocket to get some things to make the invitations with... and what I came out with is really cute I think. I can't wait to send them out!

Well, I hope my next entry won't have to be soo much catch up as much as an update. I will try to get pictures up soon of my adventures!

Quite The Weekend

It snowed this weekend! It has been so cold! It was fun to see the snow, but it didn't fall until Saturday night. We woke up to a few inches of snow and a very chilly morning. We finally broke down and ran our heater and it wasn't me who broke down... it was David! Surprise, surprise, I'm turning into mom and won't turn on the heater until its so cold we can't even move!

Anyway, on Friday night after work I got invited to get together with some of the girls from church which was nice b/c since we've been in nursery we don't get to meet anybody or get to know anyone who have already been there for a while. Afterwards, Chelsea, Eni, David and I went to the dollar theater and saw the Mummy returns show or whatever it's called. Before we saw it the boys ate ate the Bamboo Hut... David got sick from the food! We went to the Provo mall on Saturday to look for some jeans for David. He didn't have any to wear! He wore shorts on Saturday when it was freezing cold outside. We got him some really nice jeans and he was soo excited, that when we got home he tried them on again and was striking a pose in them all around the house. I got a picture of him on my phone, but don't know where my cord is to get it onto the computer. I'll have to post it some other time... hilarious though. I did make Grandma Eccles' recipe for Cheesecake. It turned out pretty yummy. We took it over to the Reyes' on Sunday and they ate it, crumbs and all.



Now, here comes the best part. We went to church on Sunday and gathered our nursery class and we got to take them into the chapel where the Primary was practicing for their SMP. They wanted our class, the older half, to come up at the beginning and sing I Am A Child Of God. The bishops son doesn't know the words to the 2nd and 3rd verse so when that part comes he puts a funny scowl on his face and says, "Not this one though" and then puts a smile on and waits for the chorus. He is a crack up! It's interesting though that our 2 and 3 year olds are more reverent than the Primary. I was so proud of them! We will practice again next Sunday and then perform it on the last Sunday of the month.



Well, after that we went back to our room and played with more toys, then had our lesson and singing time and then we moved to the next room for snack time. When we walked in, the younger class was running around like maniacs! Our kids walked in, sat down and told us what they wanted for a snack. I think there was a Stake Primary Lady there and after the younger class left she asked if we were substitutes. We told her no that we had been in nursery since about Aug. She was very impressed with our kids and was happy to see our kids so well behaved. Well, after snack time is when it got interesting. This little girl, Alyssa, looked and me and started crying saying, "I have to go potty!!!" I knew she was not going to make it if I tried to find her mom so I walked her over to the restroom and sat her down. She was still crying and I told her it was okay. I asked her if her tummy hurt and she said yes. Then a moment later she said she was done. I asked her if she was sure. She said yes so I asked her if she felt better. She said yes again. I washed her up and brought her back to class and then no more than 10 min. later she comes over to me crying again and saying the same thing that she had to go potty. I knew for sure that she was going to poop her pants. I picked her up and rushed her to the restroom crying and sat her down. She kept crying and I told her it was okay. I thought we had made it in time but then she told me she pooped her pants and then started balling. I felt so bad for her and tried to clean her up. She said she wanted her mommy and I told her I would get her but first I needed to clean her up. Then she told me that she didn't want her mommy b/c I think she thought she would be in trouble. Well, I guess David left the class and got her mom. She came in and asked what happened. I got a little flustered from her crying and I tried to explain what happened. I didn't want her to think I didn't believe Alyssa when she said she had to go and that's why she pooped her pants. I felt really bad, but there wasn't anything I could really do. I left her and her mom with poopy chons and went back to class.



Now, let me tell you, there is a little boy, Cohen, who can't see and he has the stinkiest feet I have ever smelled. He always kicks them off and so we have to lug his stinky brown sandals from class to class. It makes David feel sick! hehe anyway, after play time we went to read books in the room we first started off in. That room stunk like the most nasty diaper I have ever smelled. I had poopy pants, stinky feet and the smell of a disgusting diaper. I had sensory overload that day. David asked Cohen's Dad to put socks on him "Because it is getting cold and the classrooms were also." He wanted to tell him, "Dude, your kids feet stink" but I wouldn't let him. I told him to tell him about it being too cold. Hopefully it works. David said he is going to buy socks for him and bring them just in case. That way they can't say they've been unpacking and don't have regular shoes for him. I would think you could at least go through your boxes and find you kid some shoes and socks, but that's just me. Well, by the time I got home, I was done with kids, nursery and stinky butts and feet. I hope nursery smells a little better next week and we don't have the smell of funk everywhere... :)

Weekend Plans

Well, this week I have been subing for a co-worker as the receptionist and I kinda like it I can't lie... there is no pressure, not hour-long phone calls with angry cutomers and stuff like that. I'm pretty sure that the past 2 days I have only gotten 1 call in the first hour and 40 min. each day. So this weekend is conference and David's mission reunion. Usually I'm not the one to be jumping for joy for conference but this time around I feel that this one is going to be especially good. I think there will be some "key" things to look for. Mission reunions are fun b/c not only do I know some from being introduced but some of them have been over to eat and I've seen them at stake things. Elder Voravong served in Merced during or right after the time dad passed and he and his companion were really good to our family. He is from Canada and last year he was there at the reunion. It was really good to see him. Too bad though that the guy who got a hair cut from dad hasn't gone. I think he left before President Barney came in. That would be hecka funny to see him. Mom might remember Elder Reno who served a little with David in Merced. Elder Huff comes sometimes and last time we hung out with him I'm pretty sure he wanted to show off by trying to rum really fast after Syb' and biffed it in the parking lot of the movie theater. We could not stop cracking up b/c one moment hes taken off surprisingly really fast and the next moment he's on the ground rolling! Anyway, we'll see how this weekend goes...

New Hair Color/ Synergy Summit in Anaheim, CA

So I know I haven't updated my blog in a while... I just had to get a little help from a co-worker to help we figure out the dang thing! Anyway, this last Sept. from the 11-13, my work had it annual convention which we now call Summit. It was a blast but lots of long hours on high heels. The first day we flew in from SLC to the Long Beach Airport which is about the size of the Modesto airport. When we arrived it was so humid and nice I thought I was in heaven. I miss the humidity! We were shuttled over the Hilton Hotel, which I have stayed in the Marriot a few times and thought that was nice, but the Hilton was my fav. While I was there, one of my "duties" was to help on stage with the giveaways, prizes and awards. I got to dress up a little which is always fun! I got to meet people from around the world from our other markets and it is very interesting to get to know them and find out about their cultures. Below are a few pictures from the event and if you notice, my hair is now brunnette! It has washed out a ton since I got it done 2 weeks before these pics were taken but I will post more once I get my hair re-colored so you can see how it's supposed to look! I like it a lot and it didn't take me much to get used to it like I thought I would...

This year they had me in the cash line with my manager Deb who is to the left of me... I didn't really want to do cash b/c it's a lot more high pressure than the credit card line!

Here I am with Ashley on stage handing out awards. Instead of calling us by our names onto stage they asked for the 2 Vana's to come out.... I know, we thought it was a little weird too, but the crowd liked it. The sad thing about this picture is that Ashley is wearing a kitten heal and I am wearing a 4 inch heel and I'm still shorter than her!

After being on stage the first day it was back to the store to rack up sales! Deb, my manager, is next to me.

Okay so I'm pretty sure that I wasn't expecting the President, Dan Higginson, to ask me to hold this little bucket for the Cancun giveaway. He said, "Okay, Lizzy hold it up real high so no one thinks I'm cheating." The first thing that went through my mind was, "Oh, Crap! I don't think I shaved my arm pits!" So I held it as high as I thought was appropriate... hoping people couldn't see!

On Friday night, they let us go around California Adventure for about an hour, and get on any rides we wanted. One of my co-workers is prego, so we went on rides and things she could go on. Here in the picture, we were waiting to go into the "Bug's Life Theatre" which was so much fun. It's a 3-D theatre and so they gave us these glasses to wear that have antenas on them. I laughed so hard! We also went on Soarin' Over California and that is my most favorite ride ever! Over any roller-coaster I've ever been on... I love it soooo much!

On Thursday night we had a "Welcome Party" were we had a bunch of Wii stations set up and the one I am playing is the Dance Dance Revolution and the distributor I'm playing with is from Ireland. On the Right hand side, you can see a co-worker of mine laughing at us b/c we weren't that good at it. We failed the song and it didn't let us finish! The two guys behind us are also Irish Distributors. I could not understand them when they spoke and at one point, one of them got so excited that he went of speaking in all this Irish slang! It was hilarious to hear...

Over all, I had a good time but I couldn't wait to get home and see my hubby. I was so exhausted when I got home that I dropped the things I had in my arms on the floor and crashed in bed. It was a fun trip but diffinately exhausting.
